I wish we could set our clocks back and keep it that way. Standard time, solar noon close to 12:00 o'clock, daylight in the early morning for most of the year.

This morning I was up on the Internet for a bit before everyone else was up, and I looked up to see that it was only 6:30. This was odd, since I had been up for over an hour. It turns out my wife had already set the clocks back. What a useless pain it is to use dst.

I detest setting the clocks ahead in the spring. I'm sure that it is a stench in the nostrils of God since he is the one who created time and here we are, we piddlings, messing with it.

Anyone know the purpose for daylight savings time?

Just seems really senseless... What's the principle behind it?

It was supposed to save electricity and give us more afternoon / evening daylight for outdoor activities.

I think it's just a way to confuse my 4 year old, and mess with my sleep pattern.
