I'm finding out that a lot of people in their twenties don't know that the sinking of the Titanic (100th anniversary today) was a real event. One young lady's (she must have the IQ of a tomato) Twitter tweet that I read said, "If the sinking of the Titanic was real, how come Leo DiCaprio is still making movies?"

I weep for the future of this country...

Woe woe woe, I would counter that there are plenty of people older than us that are equally as dumb, however the old dumb folks are fortunately ignorant of the new media and therefore unable to disseminate their foolish opinions.

I definitely think that the tweeter had to be kidding; if she were serious, that would mean that she also thinks that when an actor dies in a movie he dies in real life. It was probably a lame joke.

I don't know, I think people learn what they are taught.

I think this set of posts or tweets displays a sadly uneducated generation. I am not sure it's their fault they are uneducated. There is an obvious dearth in their knowledge of history.

I am assuming they are people in their teens and early twenties.
