I see how the culture might have conditioned us to think that any abortion protest we see on TV must be intending to make us think "hate." But it's really hard for me to look at this image and think the creators meant to depict hateful people.

Rather, it seems to me the artist went out of his way to paint the abortion protesters as peaceful. They are not yelling, not harassing, not blocking anything—none of those stereotypes. Even their signs give an excellent pro-life message that communicates concern to save the unborn rather than uncaring attitudes toward young moms. The pro-life views of this advertiser are kept subtle (which is often the most effective way to do it), but seem clear to me.
If the artist had wanted to send a message that abortion protesters are hateful, he could have made them look more like the one picture in the ad that does depict angry people.

Notice how the background people in this second picture are very different from the group of abortion protesters seen earlier. These people are angry and potentially violent. The ad wisely keeps it unclear what exactly the angry people are fighting over, but it was careful to make the pro-life cause a different matter. Those people and these people are different.
In a society where the progressives keep telling us that concern for the unborn is just another form of hatred, it's refreshing to see something on TV that knows the difference.
