I had some experience with these kind of "ministries" in my past when I was still in a charismatic church. Basically what it comes down to, from my experience, is an extremely disfigured understanding of sanctification. Often, any struggles with sin will be labeled as battles against "demonic oppression" or "generational curses" instead of our sinful nature kicking and screaming within us post conversion. Instead of confessing our sin, repenting, attending to the means of grace, and patiently trusting in God's promises to deliver us from our body of death, sin is treated as a "sickness" (in the form of demons or curses) that can be instantly expelled through the casting out of demons and breaking of curses. It removes the responsibility of the sinner and deprives them of God's true means of healing and growth. It's an attempt to create a shortcut around true sanctification and in the process makes things worse because it feeds people lies about the nature of their problems and gives them emotional experiences that at best can only be short-term solutions; the problems will either come back after the person is down from their spiritual high or the person will be tricked into believing that they no longer have any problems.
