Here's the deal with me: I want to go. However, there is a decent chance that I'll be in Iraq at that time... but right now I do not know for sure. When is the latest we could get a group rate?

what/where/when is this?

Together for the Gospel (T4G)

Okay, a few weeks ago we had a fair number who said they were going to get a group rate. This thing fills up pretty fast so if there is no longer enough for a group rate I want to sign soon so I don't miss out.

Am I going by myself?

Also, I'm going to stay on the campus of Southern Seminary. A bit of a drive, a few miles, but I'm looking forward to being on campus and perhaps getting the opportunity to met some people at Southern. A room with two bedrooms is around $80, as I recall so if anyone wants to room with me it will only cost $40 a day. The rooms are very nice.

The problem we've run into is that a lot of people (a dozen or so) were pretty sure they were going a couple of months ago, but I recently posted a thread asking for those who knew they would be going to post, but I didn't get many responses (besides Ivan).

Ivan and I are going. If we get 10 folks, we can register as a group. We will save $40 if we do that! But we need folks to commit before we can do that.

I don't think that the dates are going to catch us too much, as long as we register by October 31 (the early bird date). I don't think it'll fill up too much before that. But the sooner we get this put together, the better!

I haven't registered yet, but I did reserve a room at Southern Seminary's Legacy Hotel. I'm going, discount or not!

Well, I have no idea what my college or work schedule is going to look like, but I'm in. My mom and step-dad were saying that since I am excruciatingly difficult to get gifts for (since I don't really want anything lol) this would be a good birthday and/or Christmas present. Woohoo :D

Ivan, do you still have that other bedroom available?

I think you're referring to Tim in Louisville. I'm sure he'll see this.

That looks really cool. Unfortunately, it costs too much for us and is the week after my husband's spring break :(

Sorry, I meant two beds, not bedrooms...and I got the one with one bed.

I am DEFINITELY going! But as a seminary student, I really don't need a group rate: can't get much cheaper than 99 bucks!

For those who have never been, I strongly encourage you to go, if possible. It was an AWESOME experience last time. I love the feeling you get, when you realize you are going to have to throw some of your clothes away, just to fit all of your new books in your bag!

Let me put it this way...I have a pastor friend who has been in the ministry for 40 years. He has preached many sermons, ministered to his flock, and wrote many books published by Evangelical Press and Banner of Truth Trust. He is an experienced pastor and marvelous preacher. He LOVED T4G and will attend again. He raves about the experience, including all the books he got free!

This is one of the best events to attend every other year. If you are able, GO!

Ivan, I can commit to going at about 80%. I need to talk with my wife about schedule conflicts. If there are no conflicts I will send in my registration. I'd be happy to room with you. We'd be a wild pair of Baptists! I want to short-sheet the Presbyterians beds and TP their cars.

I would be in already but I am not sure about being able to get the leave as the Army has a delightful habit of moving people quickly. I will keep this in mind as the days get closer.

I will be attending with one of my co-workers. I'm not sure if we can get in on the group rate, we're both already getting discounts for being in the military...

Alas, the group thing apparently doesn't appear to be working out. However, I received an email yesterday from Cumberland Valley Bible Book Service, and with every order from them, there is a coupon included that will give you $20 off the registration fee. That's not quite the same as the group discount, but it might be a route we want to take.

May is a long way away, and it is difficult to plan for things. I have just been informed in the last week or so that there may be something coming up next year that might "interfere" with my attending the conference, at least every day.

I'm still seriously considering going. My work situation is extremely volatile. As things get a bit closer I'll either be able to commit or bail. I hope that it will be commit.

I just love Mahaney. He is a genuinely kind and loving man; he is also very energetic, emotional, and bubbly (which is probably why he makes such a good charismatic). Just check out the guy in the picture of the T4G guys.

Hey, here's a question:

I am a student. That means my cost will be $99 (yay!). If we do get enough folks for a group discount, will I get 20% off the student discount?

Oh wait, do I have to be a seminary student? I mean, I'll go either way, Lord willing, but saving some cheese would be nice.

And what a deal!

You'll have to ask those question to those putting on the conference. There's an 800 number you can call. I don't think you have to be a seminary student but it's best to ask them directly.

BTW, I think my associate pastor is going to come with me. I'm going to try to get the church to pay for part of his expenses, if not all of them. He does a great deal for little. He needs a break....and it will be FUN!

We might, but haven't decided yet. Our elders went last year and loved it. So, we'll see. I'll post as soon as I know something though.

I haven't seen you post about T4G so I didn't bring it up to you, although I was thinking just yesterday(?) that it would be way cool for you to go. If it's possible, totally try to make it!
