Yesterday, at the news of the first AI sermon being preached upset me greatly. And in my immature indiscretion made me belittle the path which God had set me on. Who am I to question how God will facilitate his decretive will? Am I omnipresent? Can I respond and react to every stratagem of the Devil in which he pursues to deceive the world? No, I am not, and no, I cannot. Oh, how on one hand I would love to spend countless hours "in the field," then on the other hand how I would love to spend countless hours in study, then on the other hand how I would love to spend countless hours editing these books. But I simply cant do all I want to do. I have to realize that I am only an insignificant tool, in the hand of an infinite God, to be wielded for his glory. If he so chooses that I sit and edit, so others can read and act, who am I to question that?
When I sit and think about it; how within a month I have already done 10 Puritan books for free distribution; I have to understand with no intention of boasting that this displeases the enemy. When I consider at the present moment, that I am working on editing and offering to all potentially one of the greatest books on Spiritual Warfare, that this in turn displeases the enemy. And that it is not beyond the enemy to use our fervency to consider the bigger threat to his offenses, as the lesser needed, so that we forgo it to lean on our own understanding, thus giving him room for greater advancement, when what we seek to do with our change in course would have been done better had we stayed the course we were first on.
How utterly incompetent I am. How naïve I am to his devices. When will I understand his chess is much better than my checkers?
I apologize for the ridiculous response I gave yesterday. I cant save the world; I cant even save myself. I cant respond and react in such a way every time some new evil arises. I just have to stay the course, play my part, and let God be God.
If he so chooses that I, with this little bit of bread and fish, sit in my home and commit my efforts to him as he feeds 1000's, who am I to complain? For though the boy wasnt mentioned by name, he was included in the story. What a blessing it is to be in Gods Story regardless of the length, importance, or prominence of the act? I cannot judge what he will do with what I can offer, I can only pray to be faithful to commit all I have to him.
