Broadman Bible Commentary - 12 volumes

Does anyone use the Broadman Bible Commentary - 12 volumes ? I can buy it for $93,-. Is it a great commentary ? Any thoughts ?

I think this series dates from the mid 20th Century, prior to the "Conservative Resurgence" in the Southern Baptist Convention. My guess is that the $93 could be better spent elsewhere. Unless I have it confused with something else, I recall reading that the the commentary on Genesis was highly controversial.
