Commentary on 1 Peter -- John Brown

Expository discourses on the first epistle of the Apostle Peter by John Brown is available online here.

This seems to be gone, now.

I'm hoping to find a copy of the commentary on 1 Peter by John Brown, but there seems to be almost nothing around online that's complete (individual volumes here and there, but not the full three-volumes-in-two Banner set, for instance, or any older full three-volume set.) Anyone?

One thing I appreciate about Brown is that, upfront, he says that he relies fairly heavily on Robert Leighton's commentary on 1 Peter in preparing his own, and that he, as an unabashed admirer of Leighton's work, quotes extensively from it. Nothing like honesty in a commentator, especially a commentator with good taste, like Brown.

Todd -- Your earlier post seemed to indicate that you were looking for an online edition. However, if you are looking for a hardcopy, there is one for sale on Ebay here or at Biblio.com here.

Sorry for the confusion - when I said "seems to be nothing available online" I meant that I couldn't get a hold of copies for sale that were complete sets of 2 or 3 volumes.

Todd,
I have been reading the two volume set by Brown on 1Peter. I'm almost finished with the second volume. It's been a GREAT read. I've been on a Brown kick lately and I highly recommend his commentaries on Hebrews, Galatians, Romans, 1Cor 15, and Isa 53. Brown is definitely one of my favorite commentators. He is very clear and is overflowing with pastoral warmth.
