If you're not familiar with Hunt, he is highly influential in my old circle of Calvary Chapels.

He also has predicted the end of the world. He's a false prophet and not worth discussing in scholarly circles. White has made this very clear as of late, as well.

It's been about 12 yrs., but I loved "The Seduction of Christianity" at the time. I remember reading a couple more of his books and think the nut was cracked. I just recalled a comment to the effect, "Even John Calvin got this right..." Haha. He was wrong on every single issue under the sun, but he had this one right.

It doesn't surprise me. As if Calvinism we so big these days to actually turn so many people away as he alleges.... it is actually his inconsistent Arminianism (along with most evangelicals today) which makes atheists laugh at the irrational "Christians".

White is wasting his time. Hunt isn't worth it, and in general the people who hang on his every word will always do so anyway. On the other hand, a lot of folks cancelled their Berean Call membership after he started his attack on Calvinism.
