I thought this was hilarious:

Driscoll gets it. The bishop certainly gets it. I don't know if the lady with the colored hair does. And I'm not sure if Deepak gets it either.

Thanks for posting that, Tim. The girl with the colored hair knew they got "poned". LOL!!

It's not worth watching. The arguments on both sides––excluding Driscoll, perhaps––are quite juvenile. Find some serious scholars debating!

We watch quite a few debates like these in the Apologetics class I teach, but I'm getting to think "What's the point?". Both sides come to see their heroes and I doubt many minds are changed. Some of the performances I've seen are pretty pitiful (Kirk Cameron vs the Rational Response Squad) and others, even by purportedly learned individuals, get into semantics and debate tactics. Even the debate with Hitchens and Wilson was disappointing.

One of the better ones is Greg Koukl and Deepak Chopra which you can find online. Koukl effectively uses the techniques he wrote about in his book, Tactics while Chopra at one point refers to an article he read in Newsweek as ammo against the Christian position. James White also does well in his debates.

Awesome! I don't think Deepak got it or maybe he did and was ticked. Another good example of the natural man being a living contradiction.

I remember Koukl mentioning this in Tactics. Do you know of a link to the online version?

This is a good example of:

Pro 26:5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.

My goodness Koukl was impressive. He was cogent and understood the real issues much better than Chopra. It's amazing (though we shouldn't be amazed) how convincing a man of truth can be if he has properly prepared himself.

I have watched and listened to several CD/DVDs from Koulk's ministry, "Stand to Reason" (Stand to Reason: Stand to Reason: Equipping Christian Ambassadors with Knowledge, Wisdom, and Character.). He is very good on his feet. I use his book, Tactics in my Apologetics class and actually get great feedback from my students who successfully use the tactics he writes about.

Many thanks. I ordered my copy of "Tactics" yesterday.
