I grapple back and forth on my thoughts about the salvation of Solomon so I can't tell you definitively.

This was most helpful! I was a little puzzeled by Rothwell's comment on P.15 of February's Tabletalk, "Solomon would die a fool (1 Kings 11), but Jesus always feared God and shunned evil ( Prov. 3:7;1 Peter 2:22).

Did he die a fool?
Based on what he wrote, I’d say no – but he may have had many long nights of reliving foolish choices because he thought he was so smart.
Eccl 12:13-14 – The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.
May God teach us to number our days!
