Wasn't the Systematic Theology by Louis Berkhof said to be a condensed version of Bavinck?

Berkhof was a student of Geerhardus Vos. He was certainly influenced by both Bavinck and Vos.

They are both concise and clear. I love that. Watson just comes across to me as such an exemplary godly man, that is practical in everything. Berkhof really seemed to know history and other beliefs as well, where he was very educated and qualified in speaking on theology.

Geerhardus Vos, and it isn't really close. His Biblical Theology is the single most influential theological book in my life. There is nothing quite like it to help you read your Bible better.

Still relatively new to theology but I love John Calvin and
J. I. Packer and I actually found I really liked Zwingli's style of writing in some extracts I read. I'm looking to read some of John Owen as well as some other Puritans.
