Did anybody watch the O'Rielly factor last night? It was interesting. He interviewed the lawyer of a gay woman who ended up getting saved and breaking off the relationship with the other woman. They had adopted a child, and apparently the woman that got saved got custody of the child and the other woman had visitation rights. The saved woman started bringing her child to church and, when the other lady visited the child and came to church with them, saw some literature (and perhaps heard some preaching) that condemned homosexuality. She didn't want the child to think that the homosexual lifestyle was sinful or wrong, so should took it to court. The judge ruled that the saved woman could give the child religious instruction, but she had to guard the child from hearing or reading the homophobic stuff at church. ie., she couldn't teach her that it was sinful, etc.

Needless to say, the saved woman's lawyer is going to challenge the ruling.

For the judge to reach a conclussion, they will need to define the topic of sin/sinful(ness).

For this debate to be reconciled on the unsaved womans part, they will have to throw out the word sinful from the context. On the saved womans end, if they side with her, the court ruling will in fact supprt the idea that there is such a thing as sin and in that, sin has to be drawn from a source, i.e. God and His commandments.

Keep us abreast if possible.

I have a friend whose wife went into therapy and "discovered" she is gay. She now has a live in companion but he was able to get an excellent order. She can't take him to any "events" or even have an overnight guest of the same sex. He has also taught his son what the Bible clearly says about homosexuality. Drives his ex nuts, lol.
