Is this for real?

Some of you may remember Pope Francis sending a video message to Kenneth Copeland and a bunch of Word of Faith preachers. Well, after listening to the Pope's message, Kenneth Copeland prays for the Pope in tongues.

A pirate Christian radio show assembled a "crack team" of tongues translators and supposedly "translated" what Kenneth Copeland was saying in tongues. A video of Copeland with the "translations" subtitled was produced.

The result, which is absolutely hilarious, can be seen here:
Translation of Kenneth Copeland's "Tongues" Prayer for Pope Francis - YouTube

(Copeland's "prayer" in tongues begins at 3:42)

So, do you think this is for real or just a big joke?

I don't believe it for one moment. Although I would not agree with Kenneth Copeland's theology in any way it see this as an attempt to discredit him and the charismatic style he espouses.

To have a "crack team of tongues specialists" is, to say the least, stretching it a bit. I could understand someone interpreting had the speaker been speaking Spannish or German or a known language but if words are from a supposed "unknown language" then who is to say what the interpretation would be (unless of course you believed the Holy Spirit reveals the tongue to an interpreter in which case you are on the wrong board!)

Whilst one group may want to discredit another, such antics d not really achieve their aim but discredit themselves as mch as the people they seek to demote.

If I believed satan directly caused the background noises heard in this video it would scare me. Instead it grieves me.

Part of the coming One World Church.

For something funny, go to youtube and type in "Benny Hinn let the bodies hit the floor."

The Pirate Christian is Chris Roseborough, and he is Lutheran. His is a good podcast, Fighting for the Faith. This was sarcasm.
