Never heard of him before, but his paintings are pretty interesting to look at. He seems to really 'capture the moment' on canvas.

There are a few that have a Christian theme too. Strain lives in Ft. Worth. I wonder if he's a Christian.

One of the links at the page had sketches he did of famous Civil War generals, etc. I was going to post a couple to see how many folks could name, but the pictures are 'right-click protected'.

I looked at his bio and thought as I was skimming that he was a Presbyterian (not noticing the "I' at first.)

The reproductions of his work have won numerous 1st place awards and “Best of Show” honors, such as the PICA Awards, The Printing Industry of the Carolinas Inc.

I really like that one. I believe it is true to life too. Pricey prints though.
