Latin sentence again

I met this sentence in Flavel's works:

omnis Platonicorum caligavit subtilitus

Could someone translate this into English for me?

I think Flavel gives a translation at the end of the paragraph, if you're referencing this paragraph:

The mysteries of nature may be discovered by the light of nature; but when it comes to supernatural mysteries, there, Omnis Platonicorum caligavit subtilitus, as Cyprian some where speaks, The most subtle, searching, penatrating wit and reason, is at a loss.

My Latin is very rusty, and I'm not sure about 'subtilitus,' but I found 'subtilitas' which can mean 'discrimination' or 'acuteness' when referring to someone's judgment, so maybe a literal translation of the phrase could be "All the subtle understanding of the Platonists was in darkness," in other words, as above, "The most subtle, searching, penetrating wit and reason, is at a loss."

But I'd welcome another opinion if anyone has one
