Preparing for Hurricane Frances
With Hurricane Frances bearing down on Florida and other parts of the East Coast, MNA's Disaster Relief is planning ahead to respond wherever the hurricane hits. MNA Disaster Response Director Ron and Judy Haynes are already in Florida directing relief efforts after Hurricane Charley. They can be reached at 636-299-1422 or 636-299-1424. What can we all do?

Pray for the protection of those in the path of the hurricane.

Prepare to volunteer or to send volunteers to assist with disaster response. We will need funds, people to help with clean up, and supplies for basic needs (e.g., water, food, chain saws, generators). Once we know where and what the needs are a call will go out for volunteers. It will be best to wait until an assessment of the needs is made.

Register to volunteer on the MNA website at www.pcanet.org/mna. You will be contacted as soon as a plan of action has been determined.

Contribute. Send checks to MNA designated for Florida Hurricane Relief to: 1700 N. Brown Road, Suite 101, Lawrenceville, GA 30043-8122; or give by credit card online at www.pcanet.org/mna. Unless designated otherwise, all Hurricane Relief gifts will be used in any areas of hurricane need, since funds will be given in response to multiple appeals.

Updates will be provided on the MNA web site: www.pcanet.org/mna
