Yes, I think it is a helpful list. I don't recall if it is on the list but also a plan of action to allow for communication / reuniting if the family is separated is important -- especially for those of us who work (or live) in cities which experience transportation meltdowns. I wasn't in DC for the 1982 disaster (though I watched the aftermath of the airplane crash on live TV) but I was here on 9/11 and going through an experience like that is a reminder to prepare for such emergencies.
 
No guns on that list. What good is that. I like the old school survivalist plans. At least you had an excuse to buy guns.
