Pictures of Self?

I never meant for any of posts to be offensive. I just believe that when we start down this path it only leads to legalism. When do we not violate the Commandments? Christ lived in obedience to the Law for us and now we are trying our best to keep the Law. It just seems to me that we can lose sight of Christ's atoning work if we ask ourselves if a photograph of ourselves or our families is a sin.

If someone says that I am in violation of the 2nd Commandment, because I have a photo of my family, than is that person not bringing judgment on me and in turn sinning themselves for bringing judgment on me?

Brother Michael, when 'people' ask you this question, give an efficient answer. I must disagree with the notion that sincere people are entitled to their opinions. I do not believe sincere people are entitled to their opinion, especially when they lead to disastrous conclusions, and are ridiculous.(or when they disagree with me..)This is even more true when it comes down to matters of our faith and practice. The idea of pictures being prohibited by the 2nd commandment as some people believe is unbiblical. Additionally, it is a belief that has not only caused an unnecessary false witness to the world, but it has brought spiritual bondage upon them. Christians are to confront error.NOONE is above scrutiny and a bit of mocking if they insist upon holding to such an unbiblical belief concerning the second commandment.
