Puritan Board Freshman
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Wanted to share a praise a report.
Last year when we visited the inlaws (who live in VA), my goal was to get them plugged into a local church. My wife's stepmother had been raised Presbyterian but had not been in a church in many, many, years.
As God's providence would have it, two PCA congregations had recently merged and had built a new facility less than 10 minutes away from their house. We attended worship and found it to be a solid parish. My stepmother-in-law and sister-in-law (who is 14) have continued to attend worship there since (still praying for the father-in-law).
In the past they had begun to experience some significant problems with the sister-in-law's behaviour. However, since they have become involved in the church there, there has been a complete 180 turn - she is now heavily involved with the youth group has volunteered to work the VBS, etc. It is simply hard for me to describe the joy at hearing about the growth in grace she is experiencing.
The stepmother-in-law is also becoming quite involved there as well.
All glory, and honor, and majesty be to God!!
Anyhoo, just thought I'd share.
