William Price

Puritan Board Freshman
Good evening one and all.

I decided to come back on PB after a long hiatus. I left the forum because I did not abide by the rules stating that we would attend a local church. Though I was, the church was a Pentecostal church. I went to try and find a place of my past and new life. I found out that when God truly converts you, one cannot hold to the past. I resigned my membership from that church a week ago, as well as my full credentials, and informed them of the reasoning as well.

I went back to my Reformed church home, and remembered this morning about PB. I thought to myself this forum is a great resource for strengthening and encouragement, as well as some great fellowship.

Missed you guys much. Glad to be back on this good place.

back!!

William, I'm new here but I also extend a hearty "welcome back!" as well. I know your actions took courage and strong conviction. How puritanical of you! :pilgrim:

I thank all of my friends here on PB for the warm welcome back. I have been working at the school, and openly now posting at the problems I have with the modern pentecostal movement. It has gotten attention, and some open attacks. Soli Deo Gloria!

Love to all y'all, and an extra serving of ribs to all the elders!

Well, William you are understanding there are many biblical doctrinal errors in pentecostal/charismatic communions in general:

Arminian influence, dispensationalism,

there is no binding confession of faith for unity or accountability,

A memorial only view of the Lord's Supper, no church discipline

plus the doctrine assumed that, ordinarily, new revelation equal to that of Scripture comes through the I Corinthians 12 spiritual gifts (even though the Scripture has been completed and foundation of our faith laid by the prophets and apostles).

Then, you have the heretical view of the Trinity this group in particular has.

Now, remember, reformed theology at least tilts transformational (as opposed to separatist). Look for opportunities with the access you have had to engage these people with biblical truths they probably have never heard...

for His Honor,

and His Glory!
