Spurgeon on Discernment

I've been seeing the following quote attributed to C.H. Spurgeon, but I cannot find the source:

“Discernment is not the ability to tell the difference between right and wrong; rather, it is telling the difference between right and almost right.”

Can anyone help me figure out the source? Even if it's not Spurgeon...

p.s. I've searched in Logos, google, and the new experimental logos search that's in beta only on the web app...and I can't find anything except a bunch of instances where the quote is attributed to Spurgeon.

I'd be interested to learn the source of this quote as well. I searched through Logos and similarly only found the quote referenced in two journals and one book. However, they are all content to simply assert that C. H. Spurgeon said it rather than cite where or when he said it.

I would have to say it's probably a spurious attribution. Spurgeon's works are all well published and searchable, and nothing like that comes up. Further, all of the references I came across are less than 20 years old. Spurgeon is the victim of a lot of misattributions on the web, some nefarious some niave, much like Luther, Lincoln, and Einstein...
