I thought this was an interesting video on the things we often say wrong. It really is astonishing how much of our daily vocabulary is incorrect!

I like this. My pet peeve is when "impact" is used as a verb.

even worse is when a noun-turned-verb is turned back into a noun: "impactfulness"......what?

Communicating - whether in writing or by speaking - is part science (there are rules) but it is also part art.

Language is in the hands of the people who speak it. Language has been evolving since people would speak. There was a comment on the video that said "The dictionary is not a rule book but a record." While we should try not to destroy the language over night, If people know what we are trying to say then what is the big deal? youknowwhatisayin?

But if we're merely being lazy (and sloppy as a result), and we are to do all things to His glory, our laziness (and the listener's possible confusion) seems counter-productive.

This is the very thing that I have against people "texting" a lot. It destroys any grammatical structure that was taught by teachers during your childhood.
