@greenbaggins @SolaScriptura @toddpedlar @Edm @earl40

The pairing is set. Time to pick the final tiebreaker. Traditional tiebreaker rule - pick the winner and the final score. Most of us are going to be busy over the next couple of weeks, so be sure to get your pick in before the time runs.

January 5, 11AM Central Winner and Final Score

North Dakota State v. Eastern Washington - Frisco, Texas Soccer Stadium

For those that don't follow FCS on a regular basis, this page might help, showing how each team did through the brackets

https://www.ncaa.com/brackets/football/fcs/2018

REMEMBER: DON'T AMEND YOUR PRIOR POST. Put up a new post. After the Lord's Day, of course, unless you are really quick on the draw tonight.

North Dakota State - 42-28

As for the tiebreaker, much as I'd love to see Eastern Washington win, I must go with NDSU:

NDSU 27, EWU 24

Can we also give a little grace to our brother Lane, who forgot to name a National Champion?

@greenbaggins

Some of our more competitive members might object. How's this. If Lane wants to post one before the semis, I'll take it unless two or more private message me and object before the semis. I'll hold any private messages in confidence, but admins and perhaps the mods can view the private messages.

Since it appears that the results of this will be determined before we get to the finals anyway, I’m fine with Lane being afforded the opportunity to rectify his oversight.

So sorry guys, I misunderstood the original posting of the bowls. I thought you were letting us choose the national champion after the semi-finals of the BCS. I didn't read carefully enough to see that you meant not BCS but the other. If I am allowed, I pick 'Bama like everyone else for the national champion.

In other news, I saw where three of the Clemson players got caught doing performance enhancing drugs. I thought I learned two or three years ago to never pick against Notre Dame. I may get a refresher on that this year.

Going into today's games, I'm showing
Todd -20
EdM-19
BenD-17
Edward-16
Earl-11 (although I may end up giving him the points for the game played/not played in the Cotton Bowl. The good news is that the back yard is dry land again.)

Lane also has 16, and I have Earl at 13, not 11.

in my opinion none of us (or alternatively all of us) should get points either way for the Cotton Bowl.
