I got him as a present for my three year old.......technically

i had a frog once... just a regular green frog (saved from a busy road one wet night)
i had him for about 8 years... an awesome pet.
believe it or not, he predicted snow storms.
after the first 3 years i noticed that he would make a unique croaking sound days/hours before big snow storms. i had to rule out coincedence after 3 years of accurate predictions. i think it had something to do with lack of hibernation coupled with barometric pressure.
unfortunatly i never named him. i'll see if i can dig up a pic

I don't know. That is actually not a picture of the frog I have or of the terrarium. They just look exactly like the ones I got. Right now our terrarium has plactic plants. I plan to get some real ones when I find out what will live well in there without harming the frog.

Nope. I actually bought a frog. He's been a lot of fun so far.

In Britain it would be illegal to pick up a wild frog and keep it. It is also illegal to take frogspawn from one pond to another. Unbelievable.

Since we have frogs that have voluntarily entered our house I'd be inclined to say they were asking for it!

See, Tim, we can relyon you for all sorts of information. I used to catch what we in West Texas called 'horny toads', and they never lived more than a few days. And we fed them ants. Just not stinging ants. Now I know. Bummer!

Great. Decades later I find out that I killed him.

I got Jim Kaat's autograph on a baseball at a Warner Stellian appliance store in St. Paul back then. Back to the frog....
