Kaalvenist

Puritan Board Sophomore
Are there any other Historicists out there who maintain Amillennialism? I know its a long shot, since most Historicists are Postmillennial, and the rest seem to be Premillennial. I just figured that if there were any others, I would probably find them on the Puritanboard.

I know I probably just lost a bunch of friends from Xanga who thought I was Postmillennial. Oh well. :D

amill historicist ?

Count me in!

I am off to visit my son-in-grace and daughter in Nebraska.
He pastors a Reformed Church there (RCUS). He is amill partial preterist and I am not, so the sparks will be flying.

calvin, amill historicist.

Give me an example.

Hello,
What do you mean by 'Historicist'? Do you mean, for example, Chernobyl was the mountain falling into the sea? Or is it a more general and cyclical account of the inter-advent period?

I view the events of the millennium as principles that occur more or less in irregular cycles. Would I be considered an Historicist?

You would be an idealist.

Pan millennial. Its all going to pan out in the end.

Too busy with my relationship with Christ NOW to be concerned about what He has already decided. Should we be concerned with this because it will somehow affect our salvation?

NOT!!!

While I have a good understanding of the various millenial positions it seems to me that there are more important things to concern myself with. What am I supposed to do differently living the life God has called me to based on my view of the millennium?

Ya'll argue about this??? good grief.

I am saved by the grace of God. Glad to meet all of you too. :handshake:

All of Scripture is worth pondering, studying, and understanding. All of Scripture is eschatological, if you read it in light of redemptive history (which Scripture is) leading up to and following the advent of the Lord Jesus Christ.
