Oh looks like your post was all for naught as the Mariners have clinched first place!!!

By a stunning performance by King Felix

Oh I guess you better get your gloating in now since the Mariners are tied at first with you know who. Too bad Hernandez can't pitch every day.

I am sure glad Glavine is doing well. He needs to come in and pitch in the 3rd inning and finish out the game. That way he won't give up 3 - 5 runs in the 1st inning and then pitch a 2 - 5 hitter the rest of the game. If he starts the 3rd inning maybe he won't give up any runs.?

Huh?! Glavine has been pitching great the last 1 1/2 seasons. He is the least of the Mets worries.

I agree the last 1 1/2 seasons but I was talking about, and please look this up yourself, that when he does win, he gives up the runs, typically, in the first 2 innings and then pitches awesome after that. He has always been this way.

Great pitcher, don't get me wrong.

If you are going to beat the Angels this year you are going to have to beat them in the first six innings because their bullpen is lights out! :deadhorse:

that used to be the M's line now there 2-0 !!!!

Not a bad debut for Morrow though.

M's are on a roll-and yes I would clone Felix if I could.

Hopefully they will have the pitching this year.

Unfortunately, the Braves won't be America's team much longer b/c of the decrease of air time on TBS (The ex-Braves Station).

Oh, I don't mind them being "America's Team", so long as they finish behind my Mets! That's my 2-0 Mets!

Doesn't matter how many dingers A-Rod hits, he can't make the Yankees winners.

Quit your bellyaching. The Mets creamed the Braves last evening....11-1.

Braves now in first after a 7-3 win at Shea in which Tim Hudson pitched 8 shutout innings.

But unfortunately Mike Hampton is out for the season after missing most of last year as well.

I am usually pretty excited about baseball and St. Louis is a great baseball town. But this year has been pretty tough so far with the Cardinals off to their worst start in years. Hopefully things will turn around soon.

Could be worse. You could be a Nationals fan. ;)

Indeed! I'm moved from the Metro-East area back in '91, so I had beena life-long Cardinal fan. Although the bats are been inconsistent the real problem is pitching, which I believe will be a fatal miscalculation for this year.

However, the Brewers are beasts! Best record in baseball right now, I believe. A fun, young team. If the Cardinals can't do it I hope the Brewers do.

Guess which ALer is top five in all of the following:

AVG
On Base %
Slugging %
Walks
RBIs
HRs

And only has 1 error?

"Super Vlad" (Can you spell MVP?)

Down 5-1 in the bottom of the 9th, the Mets plate 5 runs and beat the Cubbies!

Let's Go Mets!
