Just a question about this song. What does "Mother Mary" refer to in this song? I think the melody of this song is very beautiful, but I don't know if "Mother Mary" is a catholic term for this song.

Any thoughts?

One of the all time great musical bands and great "time piece" of how American popular culture changed.

Also a case study in how everything the world promises does not bring truth or peace without Christ.

"Rocky Racoon" was also a tune that reflected the incredible song variety of this talented group.

The song was inspired by a dream Paul had about his mother, Mary.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up. It's a very nice song. I'm glad it wasn't referring to Mary like Ave Maria.

Here's one that makes me chuckle.

Oh no! Not that "Rock and Roll music." You know that comes from the devil, as does facial hair, alcohol, and women in pants! Just kidding.

I know it's , but I couldn't resist.
