i am a huge fan if "Let it be" and "Eleanor Rigby" mostly due to the Cello solo that is coming from a cellist.

That reminds me. Has anyone ever heard the term "Baroque Rock"?

Examples:
Walk Away Renee (The Left Bank)
A Lover's Concerto (The Toys)
Darling Be Home Soon (The Lovin' Spoonful) - our son nominated that one.
Different Drum (Linda Ronstadt and the Stone Ponies)

in my opinion, "Eleanor Rigby" fits it somewhat, too. Comments?

Anyone else a fan of Bad Finger? They were first Beatles Apple protege, I believe.

George Harrison produced "Day After Day" and played guitar on that song.

You bet! Love that one, and also especially "No Matter What"

Yes, that's a great song too, as is "Baby Blue." They are one of the most under-rated bands of that era, in my opinion.

Walk Away Renee is one of my all-time favorites.

There is a profound scene in the movie Mr. Holland's Opus concerning A Lover's Concerto and the Bach connection.

Baroque is my favorite classical genre and baroque rock is a great combo, in my opinion.

to pick one song for me would be difficult but I would say "Blackbird" or Yesterday. Then Hey Jude ain't bad then there are all their other songs.
