more people drown in water than anywhere else so I guess we should stay out of the water altogether.......
as a side note, I almost died on Christmas day in the early 90s. I needed surgery to repair a hernia and the doctor wanted to wait until after the holidays. Then on Christmas day the hernia strangulated and I was rushed to the ER. The doc on duty was a hernia repair specialist and he said if we had waited a few more hours I would have been dead.
So now I have one more thing to celebrate on December 25th. The birth of the Messiah and the Providential sparing of my own life for His service.
