Hello, I am here to make a confession: I am a bibliophile and have been for many years. Sometimes I think there should be a 12 step program for bibliophiles (hello my name is Diane and I love books). When I bought my home I literally wondered if there would be enough room for all my books (my home is less than a 1000 square feet). I have put bookcases in every nook and cranny and I need to buy another one to support my habit. I am somewhat comforted by the fact that it is at least, as one author called it, a gentle madness.

So I was wondering... has anyone read The Naked Public Square by Richard John Neuhaus? Is it worth reading or owning? How about an Army at Dawn?

I am being slightly tongue in cheek here since everyone here loves books but sometimes I do wonder if I really need so many books.

You definitely need that many books.

We moved house recently and ruthlessly Kondo'd our collection. We identified fully 10 books we could both happily get rid of.

(Hello my name is Cath and there is no such thing as too many books) :)

I have so many I'm embarrassed to say how many, nor do I know exactly. I've loved books since I was a youngster. If I live to be 100 I probably couldn't get through all I've got ... but I'm going to die trying :detective:

You could rent a storage unit for the overflow, I suppose.

Has this become some kind of support group? Is it intentional? I almost put a smiley by everybody's page that says hello my name is X. Anyway I am smiling.

Hello my name is Ed Walsh and I love books. I have over 6000 volume logos Library. I'm hooked.:-)
