Moving to Waynesboro, Va

My wife and I are moving to a Waynesboro, VA this month and are seeking a reformed Baptist congregation to worship with. Any recommendations? We would like to travel less than 30 minutes, if possible. Thanks!

I don’t know of one within a half of an hour, though there certainly may be one.

Christ Reformed Baptist Church is in Louisa, which appears to be a little less than an hour.

The pastor of the church, Jeff Riddle, blogs regularly at Stylos.

Looks like there was a Reformed Baptist Church of Staunton, but it may be dead. I couldn't find any live links.

If all else fails there is an OPC church in Staunton and an ARP in Steeles Tavern. We have some fine Reformed Baptists worshipping in our ARP congregation a bit further down 81.

Staunton OPC is ~20 minutes away and has some dear friends of mine. My oldest daughter attended there all four of her college years. The new (five years?) pastor, if memory serves me correctly, came through the care of the Presbytery of the Mid-atlantic and is solid.

I know that you are looking for a Reformed Baptist parish. That said, it would be worth your while to visit Good Shephard Anglican Church; which, I think, meets at Bethany Lutheran Church, 712 Main Street Waynesboro, VA 22980. The Rt. Rev. Peter Robinson is the pastor. He would be a good person to know.

The website for the local PCA church is somewhat off-putting. The tone, more than the content. The ARPs and OPCs recommended above may be better bets.
