"Preacher" on trial

I say he's innocent until proven guilty. There's a lot of what I consider inappropriate reportage that goes on prior to a trial. I don't mind learning who's on trial and for what, but unless there's inescapable circumstantial evidence, e.g. the suspect was standing over the corpse with a bloody knife, I don't like the tacit assumption that if a person is a suspect, he did it. It prevents his getting a fair trial.

If the guy actually did this crime and it's proven, then I'm grieved but not surprised. Preachers are capable of taking wrong ideas to their logical conclusion, same as anyone else. It's called sin.

Unfortunately Frazer, most white southerners and most white northerners were very prejudice in the 1960s. There are just a few church groups today who are very much like this. I'm not saying they would murder people but they are very racially motivated.

I thought the hung jury was stupid. I obviously dont know if he is guilty or not, but to not convict him because he is/was a preacher is rediculous.

The case of a Baptist preacher being tried for racially motivated murder is very sad and dishonoring to the name of Christ.

However, there is a much more heinous case, in my opinion, going on presently with respect to the BTK Killer, a serial killer in Kansas who was recently arrested around 30 years after his killing spree began. He was the "president" of his Lutheran congregation at the time of his arrest.

Some of the tares in the wheat field defy description. There, but for the grace of God, go we all.

News of the world...

I am thinking about stopping visiting the two news sites I visit, bbc and google news, all I see is stuff that is contrary to things I should think about.

Phillipians 4

Yesterday I read about 3 children found dead in a boot of a car in New Jersey and this morning about a 3 year old who some how died in a tumble dryer of a washing machine in the UK.

What can I do to alter the things I see, nothing.

Lord Jesus come

Amen.
