The Most Boring Video Ever!

I'm slow, I don't get it. Explain it to me.
Its just a simple long boring video of a man doing a tutorial on Word processing when it was fairly new. Nothing crazy about it, except that he makes some people want to fall asleep. I think its relaxing.

To think, some of us listen to soundtracks of classical music with nature sounds in the background to relax. How unenlightened we have been all this time...

That can work too. However, the stories this man tells while teaching how to use the Word Processor are intriguing.

I didn't watch the video, but at first glance I thought the man in the thumbnail was Paul Washer.

Intro music is pretty neat actually.

In fact, I'd probably rather listen to that at work all day than the Sirius radio station that we have on.:um:

Soft music or a good book helps me to relax, especially a book that is very engrossing like the Bible, Calvin or Charnock. I was very engrossed in Jeremiah this morning.

At least the OP's profile picture isn't as boring as this thread. In fact, it's so beautiful, it moves me to tears.

Just kidding. And the tears aren't sincere - someone should come up with a term for that.

I'll just show myself out...

How about the phrase I've heard "Alligator tears"?

Okay.

I think @TheBoringBaptist would like that, in light of his profile picture, or... maybe he wouldn't like it.
I can't tell if you know that I've been joking this whole time, but I think we are certainly contributing to the riveting excitement that has pervaded this entire thread. I don't know if I can handle any more of this drama, so I'm going to bow out for now.

Yes, I know you are joking. So am I. It was good to meet you!

Wait, you were joking?

Depends. I find boring stuff intriguing. Don't you?
Haha!! Of course not, I find boring stuff boring.

Boring stuff is by definition that which isn't intriguing. So if you are intrigued by boring things, you should probably change your tastes to begin to once more appreciate those things worth appreciating, which tend not to be boring. Although truly, sometimes worthy objects of attention are boring. But most worthy objects, God in a principial way, are intriguing. Good, true, and beautiful things tend to be endlessly engaging in a way less good, true, and beautiful things are not engaging.

Mathematicians say there is no such thing as a boring number. Let's say you were to take all the natural numbers from 1 to 1,000,000 and rank them according to how interesting, or not boring, they are. Then this list must necessarily contain the least interesting, that is, the most boring number, out of one million. But the fact that such number is ranked at the bottom makes it . . . interesting!

Recently, I was showing my daughter how to count from 0 to 255 using just the fingers on her hands. (Programmers, you probably know pretty quickly how I did it...) I got to 80 and she said "Daddy, can we please stop? This is boring."

That's hilarious. From the mouth of babes, as they say.
On another note, wasn't this video outlawed after it was discovered to have been an affective tool for information at Gitmo but was deemed "cruel and unusual torture"?
