Musically, and classically trained voices...hmm Judas Priest, Queensryche, and Iron Maiden. And don't forget RUSH!
I have to say Hands down that the Floyd and Led Zep are the two best bands Europe has produced. But Skynyrd is definitely one of my faves.

Their '68 megahit "Sugar, Sugar" was rock anthem at its best. Extremely meaningful lyrics (probably useful in a "worship experience") that shame U2 and Laura Nyro. In fact, "Sugar, Sugar" was the #1 hit of 1968.
No one can beat that (except, perhaps the 1910 Fruitgum Company.)

These people were playing student unions all over the country "back in the day." People like me saw them for a $10 cover charge.
A certain later famous group played the University of Detroit student union in the fall of '68... But I digress.
The guitar riff in the bridge there takes a back seat to no one's playing, In my humble opinion.
These people paved the way; they wrote the book. And this was 40 years ago! No slouches, were they? Hold up okay, right?
