From a biblical standpoint.

In other words, what does the LORD define as "good" and "evil".

Didn't know whether to put this in this forum or the philosophy forum.

Anyway...discuss

Anything consistent with God's will is "good" and anything inconsistent with God's will is "evil."

Amiright?

This would be my thought process on the matter as well.

This question comes from genesis 3:5,12 where the LORD looks down on mankind and sees their thoughts and their deeds are evil. what were these people thinking about and what were they doing and what about it made it evil? should someone who is a nice person and does many kind deeds for others but denies the existence of the LORD be considered an evil person?

Any other thoughts?

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus calls His disciples "evil" although they give good gifts to their children.

Moral evil I.e. sin, must ultimately be defined as a relationship with God Who is the standard of all goodness. When asked what the greatest commandment was, our Lord said that it was to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. This, our Lord indicated, is a summary of obedience to the law.

Likewise, sin, which is disobedience to God's moral law, is an expression of our enmity to God.
