My tastes, I guess, were a bit more refined:

Jerry Jeff Walker and the Lost Gonzo Band. Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. New Riders of the Purple Sage. And why not Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefers?

Ah, my formative years. Thank God that he could reach through the haze and snatch me from my youth.

Ah Jerry Jeff....... I love David Bromberg's versin of Mr. Bojangles where he tells the story of how Jerry Jeff met him in a New Orleans jail cell... "Jerry Jeff wasn't there on a research project"

:ditto: for me.

Van Halen hasn't been mentioned. Their first couple of releases came in the 70's.

Who are you kidding. The beej6 handle is a clear indication that you named yourself after your favorite group, The Bee Gees.

By the way, I qualified by saying that they were my favorite groups in the 70's.

Man!! How could I forget the B-52's?!!!

Somebody climbed under a dock
And there they found a rock
But it wasn't a rock
It was a ROCK LOBSTER

That's still such a great song...
